Our program recognises and includes the child and their family in the context of our wider community. The program focuses on relationships within these contexts. The experiences we offer are rich with choice and aimed at fostering creativity within a social context, building on a child's independence and self esteem. We see the social construction of knowledge as central to our planning and programming. Children influence the direction and flow of our day, as do your (parents) comments and our reflections
The philosophies of the Emergent Curriculum, Reggio Emilia and the NSW Curriculum Framework are our biggest influences.
We acknowledge the children’s, educators, parents and community interests, whilst providing opportunities for the physical, social, emotional, cognitive, language, moral and creative curriculum areas to be developed. |
